AI for financial services

Financial services firms sit on exactly the data that makes AI valuable and exactly the obligations that make a public AI service impossible. Integrated AIS closes that gap: we help regulated firms adopt AI inside their own security and compliance perimeter, so the capability arrives without the data ever leaving your control.

The financial services constraint

Banks, insurers, asset managers and the firms that serve them operate under data-handling, model-risk and operational-resilience expectations that a hosted AI API cannot satisfy on its own. Client data, transaction histories and privileged internal material cannot be sent to a third-party model provider, and a contractual assurance is rarely enough for a risk function that has to evidence control, not merely be promised it.

The result is that many financial firms have stalled on AI — not for lack of use cases, but because every credible use case ran into a data-governance wall. The way through is not to weaken the controls; it is to bring the model inside them.

Where AI earns its place

The most durable value in a regulated firm is usually in the workflows that are heavy on internal knowledge and light on regulatory decisioning: retrieving and summarising material that cannot leave the firm, drafting and reviewing documentation, accelerating research and analysis, and cutting manual effort out of controlled processes. These compound quietly and carry manageable risk.

We are deliberately cautious about automated decisions that carry regulatory or reputational weight, where the right design keeps a human accountable and uses AI to inform rather than to decide. Knowing which side of that line a use case sits on is part of the advisory work, not an afterthought.

How we deliver it

We assess where AI genuinely creates value against your operating model and risk appetite; deploy it securely inside your infrastructure — on-premises or in a private, in-region environment — with the data boundaries, access controls and logging your risk and compliance functions can evidence; and design in the human oversight and auditability that regulated decisions require. Because we are vendor-neutral, the architecture is shaped by your obligations rather than by a product we need you to license.

This draws on ourstrategy, integration and secure deployment capabilities, and on the sameon-premises anddata-sovereign deployment patterns we build for other regulated sectors.

Common questions

Can a financial services firm use AI without sending data to the cloud?

Yes. Modern open-weight models can be deployed on-premises or in a private, in-region environment so that client data, transaction records and internal documents never leave your control. The model runs inside your security perimeter, which means adopting AI does not require you to hand regulated data to a third-party provider. For most firms this is the difference between an AI programme their risk function will approve and one it will block.

How does AI fit with financial services regulation?

It has to fit the regime you already operate under — the same expectations around data handling, model risk, auditability, operational resilience and accountability apply to an AI system as to any other critical system. We design deployments with those obligations in mind from the start: documented data boundaries, controls your risk and compliance functions can evidence, and human oversight where decisions carry regulatory weight. AI does not get a lighter-touch treatment because it is new.

What can AI actually be used for in a regulated financial firm?

The durable value is usually in the unglamorous middle and back office: retrieving and summarising internal knowledge, drafting and reviewing documentation, accelerating analysis over material that cannot leave the firm, and reducing manual effort in controlled workflows. We deliberately steer away from high-risk automated decisioning where the regulatory and reputational exposure outweighs the benefit, and toward the workflows where AI compounds value without creating a governance problem.

Are you a vendor selling a financial services AI product?

No. We are a vendor- and model-neutral integration consultancy, not a platform vendor, so our recommendations are not shaped by a product we need you to buy. We assess where AI genuinely creates value in your firm, deploy it securely inside your infrastructure, and leave you with something your teams can own — rather than another licence and another data-sharing arrangement to govern.
